US President Barack Obama started his last day in the UK with a meeting with David Cameron and the cabinet to put the world to rights.

He then joined his wife Michelle and Samantha Cameron to a BBQ in the beautiful grounds of Downing Street in the sunshine.  This was a real American style BBQ and the President and David both flipped their burgers to 150 British and American Servicemen and their wives.

President Obama and his lovely wife Michelle have arrived in the UK for their three day state visit.  They visited Ireland first as he had ancestors there and wanted to trace his roots but they left earlier than planned as the UK is expecting ash cloud from Iceland anytime now.

The President and his wife were greeted by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall and then went off to Buckingham Palace to meet Prince William and the new Duchess of Cambridge along with the Queen and Prince Philip.

A Barmitzvah is a religious ceremony when a boy reaches 13 years of age, and in the eyes of the Jewish law he then becomes a man.  He can then be counted as one of thirteen men required to start a service and can take part in it as well.

It is a time when a boy must learn his Haftora - this is a portion from the sefer torah which is a scroll and is a handwritten copy of the holiest book.  He must learn this in hebrew and sing it in the synagogue on his own.  It is one of the most important days for him and also for his family.

He learns his portion with a teacher and it takes about 12 months and he also has to take an examination about many aspects of judaism.

A girl has a Batmitzvah  at the age of 12, whereby she also has to have lessons and learn about her heritage and she must prepare to make a speech on her portion but she may read hers in English.  Again it is a very important turning point in her life too.

At 6 months before the wedding, you can decide on your wedding stationery and invitations.  Party Planner handles invitation and guest details intuitively and easily.  Each main party invitation can have several linked parties or events such as a hen or stag night and the main function.

Remember your data can be imported from Microsoft Excel and can be exported for mail merge or for a commercial printer to produce your customised invitation, name cards and table plan lists for your table plan display board to be made up.

Now you can register a gift list at the store of your choice.  It is very important to book wedding insurance in case an emergency may occur.  You are spending a huge amount of money on a wedding so it really makes good sense to buy wedding insurance.

To find a wedding planner the obvious place to start would be the internet and also look in wedding magazines.  By now you will have probably booked your venue and caterer they may well be able to recommend a good wedding planner.

Before hiring a wedding planner be sure to interview them properly and always ask for references and see how many functions they have handled in the past. You could always contact the venues that they have worked at and ask them about the wedding planner.  It is always possible that you may be able to look in at one of the events that they are doing at present.  Always get everything in writing including a price.

The Royal Wedding sadly is over and now we will have to start thinking about the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June 2012.  They are moving the late May bank holiday weekend to have a bank holiday instead on Monday June 4th 2012 at the moment.

They are also giving consideration to a Diamond Jubilee medal being given to all recipients.  What recipients are these?   Do they mean the Olympic ones?  We shall have to wait and see.
